Scientific Journal of the BirdLife Hungary

A Magyar Madártani és Természetvédelmi Egyesület tudományos folyóirata

Scope of the journal

Ornis Hungarica is a periodical published by BirdLife Hungary (Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society). Currently the journal is planned to have 2 issues per year.

The journal publishes reviews, original research articles, and short communications related to any field of ornithology. Significant contributions to the ecology, behaviour, biogeography or conservation of birds are most welcome.

The geographical emphasis of Ornis Hungarica is on East- and Central-Europe and particularly on Hungary, but papers from other regions, which command broader interest, are also welcome. The journal publishes papers in English, but the summaries and the legends of figures and tables are both in English and Hungarian. In case of authors whose mother tongue is not Hungarian translations will be provided by the editors.
