Abstract:

A total of 1904 Robins were ringed and measured during the autumn migration near Sopron in 1993 and 1994. Birds belonging to a single migration wave were estimated to have flown- two nights. Subesquently, they needed a ten-day stopover period to refuel. The migration-dynamic of the species shows close correlation with the macrosynoptic weather patterns at the stopover site.
